More about us: We are a married couple. Laurie my husband is 68yr and I am 59yr. Laurie is originally from Scotland and is a permanent resident in NZ. I am a NZer and was born in Winton Southland and bought up in Dipton. Laurie is a builder and works part time for a Maintenance company in Petone Lower Hutt. He is very fit and able and as well as being a NZ Superannuitant he would like to start up a small part time business using his Building and Maintenance skills when we relocate. I am also collecting NZ Superannuation and this will continue when we relocate.We have lived in our present rental for 5 1/2 yrs and prior to that we lived in another property for 2 1/2 yrs and only moved out as the landlady wanted to move back in. We have had a small dog at both properties with no problems at all. We can supply references but I havnt requested one from our current property manager as yet. We want a property with gardens as we are keen gardeners. We can supply photos of the gardens and section of our current property which we put in and have been responsible for. We have a good credit history and will pay out rent on time without problem. I want to relocate to be nearby family as my mother passed away in April. We are looking for longterm tenancy. It is also important the property has a garage.
My ideal area is: As much as we are quite happy to have a house in any suburb or even in rural areas close to Invercargill we are not really keen to live down in the Clifton or Bluff road areas.
My ideal amenities: We have all our own furniture. It would be good if the property has a dishwasher, a shower, and of course it's own Stove. WiFi and Fibre facilities.
My ideal landlord: The house we rent now is under a Property Manager as the landlord resides overseas. In saying that we have met the landlord on several occasions and have a good relationship with him. He has passed comment to the property managers and ourselves that we are good tenants and this makes him feel good knowing his property is in safe hands. We would like our new landlord to feel the same and to not be put off by us having a small dog. Shes very clean and house trained and we have no problems with her in the house.
